When it comes about life then texture is long lasting and highly durable. although it is not necessary to go with texture anyway, you can choose wallpaper as well but most of the people choose texture over wallpaper for living room. For small walls wallpaper is good and cheapest option to go with. While wallpaper’s life is less as compare to texture because texture is made by paint while wallpaper is mere a sheet of printed paper. Although there is no direct comparison as both serve different purposes.

Difference between wallpaper and textures
PREPARATION TIME
The time taken depends upon the type of adhesive and wallpaper used. You can start directly with a primer. If you are starting out on a blank wall, then the preparation time for texture paint is not high. You need the right tools and equipment.
When you start with a blank wall, the preparation time for wallpaper is almost the same as texture paint. Then, the surface of the wall must be evened out before applying new wallpaper. This can take up to 24 hours. Peeling off any existing wallpaper is a task. However, if the wall has any paint prior to using new texture paints, you need to scrape off the existing paint, even out any cracks and apply the primer.
APPLICATION TEST
Wallpapers are easier to apply. However, you need to apply at least two coats to get the right finish, especially when you are opting for patterns and textures. Application of texture paint after preparation is easy. This can take up to 2 days to finish each room. After this, it takes up to 24 hours for the adhesive to dry up. All you have to do is apply the adhesive and place the paper on the wall.
